Flyers for the School of IS

The problem: When I took ownership of marketing communications for the school, we had flimsy brand awareness on campus and no dynamic language to pitch our school on the web or in print. The school had no voice and no vibe. In a way that was good — I got to create an aesthetic and tone from scratch.

My solution: I was in the process of necromancing our dead social channels, but we badly needed to reclaim the space we actually owned — our website. It would take time to collaborate with the university for that project, so while that was in process I decided to create fresh new print collateral.

The outcome: I created flyers in Illustrator and exported them to Canva to create a team-friendly brand template for social posts, slide decks, and more. The flyers became so popular we’re on our third reprint, and for the latest incarnation I’ve used the university’s bold new color palette. These double-sided flyers appeal to both students and parents — business in the front, party in the back — and communicate the unique value of each of our academic programs.
